classes are designed to offer a
virtual classroom experience for
the students. These are
not canned classes on a DVD.
They are actual live attended
sessions where the teachers and
students interact with each
other, almost as if they were in
the same room. You must prepare
yourself and your computer in
advance of the class, and you
must arrive at class on time,
with your class manual
downloaded and in front of you.
You must have a webcam and
microphone in front of you, so
we can see and hear you
constantly during the class.
Small computers with built in
webcams can be used, and they
can even be placed on a music
stand if you need to pan and
tilt to show other people, or
equipment you are working on.
ON DEMAND Online Classes
Online classes may be
scheduled almost anytime!
Regular online classes are
scheduled quarterly, and offer
individual students the most
affordable classes. However, if
you cannot wait for the regular
online classes, or if you have a
group of people wanting to
attend together, you can set up
some of the PTI classes at your
convenience. This enables
companies to train several
employees at the same time and
place, and facilitates training
at remote locations or events.

How the Online Classes Work...
At the start of the class, each
student is presented on screen,
to introduce themselves to the
other students. Throughout the
class, every student and
teacher will have a live
microphone and video feed, and
each student will have direct
feedback controls and question
forms enabling them to instantly
communicate with the teachers
without interrupting the class
with their voice. These
features can be compared to
"holding up your hand" in class.
The actual experience is
amazing. One of the students in
our first online class had
previously attended a class in
person at our school in
Tennessee, and he said it was a
comparable experience.
During the class, teachers will
be presenting the same materials
that we use in the Tennessee
classroom... Power Point
presentations, video, and live
demonstrations. Students must
have working webcams, and will
sometimes be shown on screen to
the other students. Students can
actually engage each other
directly, in private chats that
really are private.
Following any of the
certification classes, there is
an online written exam (open
book) which is instantly graded
upon completion. The exam
requires an understanding of the
course content, even beyond what
is included in the course
manual. Students are encouraged
to take notes during class.
Tuition for online
classes is somewhat higher than
for the Tennessee school
because our costs will be
significantly higher than for
classroom courses taught at our
school. Tuition is typically
$150 per class day, and includes
the additional set-up sessions
and all of the certificates.
PTI Students who have
paid tuition will be given a
special link and password to
sign in to a Microsoft server. The classes will start
at 9 AM Eastern, and students are
required to check in at least 10
minutes prior to the start of
class, in order for us to
properly initialize their video
links. In addition, each student
must log in online a few days
prior to the class, in order for
us to set up their video stream
and iron out any problems.
This initial set up should only
take about 10 minutes.
Students taking the C1/C2 Online
Class will be required to work
on an Extreme Rage ER-3 marker and a
Halo Loader. Please
be certain you have or can
obtain the correct products
before the class.
These products are also available
to PTI students
direct from the Distributor (KEE
Action Sports) at a very special
price of $100, including
shipping. Students will
keep the marker and loader
following class. These
products will be purchased and
shipped directly from Kee Action
Sports to the students.
ONLINE students at home can
participate in classroom
sessions. Shown here during a
concurrent online/classroom
C1/C2 certification class,
students at home talk to the
teacher and classroom students
just as if they are in the same
room. Teachers can see close up
live video of the students as
they work on markers at home,
and the home students can see
close up views of the teachers
working on the same equipment.
Home students can be brought on
screen at any time when they
want to talk to the
class. Remote control cameras in
the classroom send high quality
video live to students at home.
Power point presentations are
also shown on the home computers
just as they appear
simultaneously in the classroom.
This is a LIVE class setting.
Online
classes are expected to fill up,
so early registration is
recommended. Some future classes
will be
broken up into multiple 2-hour
scheduled evening sessions.
